There’s nothing like the feeling of freedom. With it, comes a weightlessness to life that is almost indescribable, and for the last two years, we’ve known what it feels like to live without it.

Cruising through the Ionian Islands of Greece; a helicopter to a world-class private island Indian Ocean resort off the coast of Madagascar; dog-sledding in Iceland. They are just a few examples of what has been missing.

Travel brings tremendous gratification. It signals a break in the predictability of our daily lives and fuels us with the energy of something to look forward to. That wonderful feeling of knowing a sensational adventure is around the next corner; a long weekend in one of your favourite cities; the tropical climes of an exotic beach location where you fall asleep to the sound of crickets.

Hasn’t it been an absolute drag having this taken away from us? The feeling of embarking on a journey seems like such a distant memory.

But this is all changing. Because travel is making a monumental comeback and it promises to make up for lost time.

Some of our other personal favourites:

Cruising the magnificent Jurassic Coast of Dorset, England on a 76 ft new Sunseeker while on a trip to the United Kingdom.

Yachting off the coast of Greenland with its icy fjords and forests.

Sailing through the Grenadine islands after a week on land at one of Mustique’s most beautiful private houses.

The best of the eternal Amalfi Coast followed by a week split between Sicily’s most exclusive luxury hotel and a cruise of the Aeolian islands.

The Svalbard Islands of Arctic Norway in early July.
