The great and the good love to frequent London’s finest hotels, dine at its most fashionable restaurants and attend key opening parties such as the Monday preview of the Chelsea Flower Show.
The London season continues through June and July, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Royal Ascot, the Serpentine Gala and Wimbledon, etc.
Elsewhere, the first Monday in May heralds the highly prestigious Met Gala in New York, where tickets are as hard to secure as a meeting with the Pope. This is then followed on May 11th with the opening of the Venice Biennale – an essential fixture on the calendar of the serious contemporary art collector as well as the committed partygoer. And don’t forget Art Basel, arguably the most important fair of all, from 13-16 June.
